Primary School

At TAS, there is a curriculum framework for each subject English, Mathematics, EVS, Social Studies, Computers, Hindi and Marathi. Our learning module imparts various other skills that contribute towards a holistic development. An active teaching curriculum for Music, Art and Craft and Sports helps us infuse the necessary skills right from early stages and engages students into an active and creative learning experience.


English – Inculcating communication and self-expression

  • Ensuring active participation of student by using a variety of activities and tasks.
  • Using correct spelling, transitional words and question words.
  • Understanding comprehension and answering questions from the text.
  • Building vocabulary.
  • Developing confidence by participating in concert, elocution and essay writing.
  • Inculcating literature and grammar skills to help the children in sentence formation.
  • Describing and observing details in the given images and helping them in sequencing.
  • Making assessment for learning an integral part of the teaching- learning process.

Mathematics – Building problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Developing mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills and applying these skills to formulate and solve problems.
  • Acquiring the necessary mathematical concepts and skills for everyday life, and for continuous learning in mathematics and related disciplines.
  • Creating love and interest towards mathematics.
  • Attaining a firm grasp on basic concepts by the combination of examples, worksheets, videos combined with in-class revision sessions.
  • Enhancing the mental ability of children by incorporating Mental maths on regular basis.
  • Exercising command over calculation tricks and shortcuts to enjoy calculation process.
  • Understanding the value of digits, especially ZERO, importance of place value and face value.


EVS – Building awareness about social, natural and cultural interdependence

  • Learning about the environment- by developing awareness of the natural, social and cultural environment and issues/concepts in a holistic manner through various activities, skills, values.
  • Learning about the environment through various natural elements, places, plants, animals, etc. as learning resources in the process.
  • Enhancing/promoting curiosity and creativity about their surroundings.
  • Developing an appreciation for diversity (language, family, habits, variations in plants, animals, culture etc.) in the immediate surroundings.

Social Studies

Social studies – Building conscious, and responsible citizens

  • Developing knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for informed, and thoughtful participation in society.
  • Addressing concerns related to gender, good health, national issues, safety, hygiene and cleanliness of self and the environment in a careful manner.
  • Availing opportunities to interact with each other in democratic groups and communities, and to acquire the knowledge, values, and skills they need to become active, responsible citizens of their country and motherland, altogether.
  • Contributing to the betterment of our society.
  • Leading step by step towards an understanding of themselves, their homes, families and their environment.
  • Getting familiar with the world in which they live, through Power Point Presentations.


Computers – Building futuristic skills

  • Acquiring knowledge and skills of using technology to accomplish tasks, communicate and facilitate activities in and outside school.
  • Becoming competent, confident, responsible and critical users of technology.
  • Developing an awareness of how computer technology can be used optimally in the home, school, workplace, and within the community.


Music – Imparting joyful learning

  • Expressing themselves freely and joyfully
  • Channelizing their energy through a creative and fun filled medium.
  • Developing areas of brain related to language, reasoning, patterns, creativity and imagination.
  • Developing confidence and positive attitude through life by participating in concert and other stage presentations
  • Enhancing mental, emotional health and instilling an enthusiasm for all life areas.

Art And Craft

Art and Craft – Developing passion for creativity

  • Stimulating the creativity and expressions of our students.
  • Improving hand-eye coordination by drawing and colouring within the stipulated time and the size given.
  • Developing fine motor skills and enhancing dexterity through various activities involving folding, pasting to make different craft articles like wall hangings, birthday cards, pot/lamp painting etc.
  • Articulating emotions, ideas and confidence building by participating in drawing competitions and Art exhibitions.
  • Developing all the senses through observation, exploration and expression enhancing memory and visual learning.


Sports – Nurturing the importance of a healthy body and mind

  • Stimulating mental alertness and physical flexibility through yoga, meditation and stretches.
  • Developing team spirit through games like football.
  • Encouraging personal growth and development through individual games like Skating, athletics.
  • Instilling discipline through drills, march past and cultural display on Sports day.



  • संयुक्ताक्षरों एवं संयुक्त व्यंजनों का उच्चारण तथा लेखन, वर्ण-विच्छेद, विविध विधाओं में
    दी गई सामग्री का पठन करवाना

  • भाषा शिक्षण हा कुठल्याही भाषेच्या संवर्धनातील महत्वाचा भाग असतो. महाराष्ट्रातील
    प्रत्येकालाच मराठी भाषेचे ज्ञान असावे आणि इंग्रजी माध्यमांच्या शाळेत ही मराठीचा भाषेचा दर्जा कायम राहावा; हा मराठी शिकवण्या मागचा हेतु आहे.
  • भाषिक कौशल्यविकसन आणि पाठय मजकुराचे आकलन याबरोबरच विद्यार्थ्यांना
    मिळालेल्या ज्ञानाची प्रत्यक्ष जीवन व्यवहाराशी सांगड घालायला शिकवणे.
  • व्याकरणाद्वारे मराठीत होणारे बदल सांगणे, वाक्यरचना, प्रश्नोत्तरे, व्याकरण वाचन तसेच
    लिखानाद्वारे वाचन आणि लिखाणाचा विकास करणे.
